A milestone for Mabel AI and a step towards health equality

We are proud to announce our partnership with Tolkförmedling Väst, the largest Swedish public interpretation agency, to offer AI-based interpretation in West Sweden! Communication is the cornerstone of good and inclusive healthcare. Language barriers can be an obstacle to this goal. Skilled interpreters remain the gold standard to overcome them, but are not always available. Mabel AI provides instant and private AI-based interpretation, to enable simple and unplanned communication, and enhance the quality and experience of care.

A complement to interpreters

Together with Tolkförmedling Väst we conducted a pilot study in healthcare and municipal units in West Sweden. Our interpretation app was consistently rated as extremely user-friendly. Most importantly, there was high, around the clock, usage at the healthcare units. This suggests that our solution fills an important function as a complement to interpreters! This successful project means that Tolkförmedling Väst will be able to offer the app to their customers shortly. Their expertise, and both visionary and pragmatic view of the possibilities of AI-based interpretation, have been instrumental for this outcome. For Mabel AI, this is a step towards our vision of healthcare without barriers, starting from communication and understanding!
